The best compliment Leigh Glass ever received after a show was, "Your music makes me want to go home and make love to my husband." The gutsy singer/songwriter is based out of Asheville, NC, but grew up at the foot of Cold Mountain in Haywood County.
The power of her mountain upbringing runs strong roots through Leigh’s music. Her vocal prowess packs punch and bite into her delivery. She peels back the outer layer to discover what makes her characters tick and twist in her tales. . The Blues is home plate for Leigh but she runs and touches bases plumped up with straight ahead rock , soft and breezy rhythms , and alt country-flavored roots-heavy riffs.
Glass co-hosts the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam-By-Day , with Kevn Kinney, held every year in Asheville, NC. She has shared the stage with Sheryl Crow, K.D. Lang, Jeff Sipe, Steep Canyon Rangers, Spooner Oldham, Col. Bruce Hampton, Pegi Young and the Survivors, and Kevn Kinney of Drivin N Cryin.
Leigh was invited to the Pensacola Songwriter's Festival to perform along with major Nashville songwriters such as Jim "Moose" Brown ("It's Five O'Clock Somewhere"), Jeff Silvey (George Strait), and Chas Sanford (Chicago, John Waite's "Missing You").
2012 album, "Something in the Water", earned high praise in the WNC region and Nashville. The Alternate Root Magazine out of Nashville, TN rated it one of the top 20 albums to hear of 2012, trending along with JJ Grey and Donna the Buffalo.
Leigh started a side project with her husband and guitarist, Corey Bullman, in 2015. The new group, Devils In Dust, recorded their album at FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, AL and Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville. Players on the album include Spooner Oldham, Mike Ashworth and Mike Guggino of Steep Canyon Rangers, and Jeff Babko of Jimmy Kimmel LIVE.
